Recognition of Prior Learning

If you do not have a Level 8 undergraduate qualification but have significant relevant life and/or professional experience, you may be eligible to apply for admission to a postgraduate programme through our Recognition of Prior Learning Policy. Maynooth University welcomes applications from prospective students via our Recognition of Prior Learning Policy. Deferring your place on a postgraduate programme

To apply for a one-year programme deferral, applicants must have accepted their offer of a place through MU Apply. If a deposit is required for the programme you have applied for, this must be paid. The request should be sent by email to the academic department and to the Postgraduate Admissions team - pgadmissions@mu.ie. Deferral requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
